FCS Best Practices

||
FCSBP is dedicated
to supporting and challenging one another in pursuit of excellence in Family and Consumer Science classes.
FCSBP members will work to improve lessons in FCS by sharing best practices in our curriculum. FCS teachers continually need to improve curriculum and promote their programs to be of value to the students and the communities they serve. Meetings will be offered in the summer of 2010 to organize. We plan to meet once a semester during the school year. Each meeting will focus on one area of FCS: Foods and Nutrition, Human Development, or Fashion, Textiles, and Design. Members may attend all the meetings that interest them. Attendance at every meeting is not required, we just ask that you RSVP for the meeting you will attend. Our goal is to rotate meeting locations. By meeting at different schools, we will be able to understand the physical layout of the individual facilities therefore be better able to assist each other. We encourage teachers to host a meeting at their own school in a curriculum of their choosing. This is a "Bring your own coffee" meeting!
We hope you will join us. |
